Waste of time
After looking at the various reviews for toy chests my wife and I decided to go with this product. The product was terrible for a variety of reasons but I will keep it brief.
1. It is darker than expected but that was not a problem for us. We actually like that it was darker.
2. The wood panels were damaged on arrival. Scratches, dings, scuff marks, etc. I do not think this was an issue with transport because the product was well protected. Also, all of the damage was on the side that would be inside of the box. I was annoyed with that, but decided to go ahead and try to assemble it until I encountered the issue I describe below. Why would a company send a damaged product...even if the damage was "only" on the inside.
3. The cams (the hardware that keeps the wood panels together) were very, very weak. This would not be so much of a problem except that this is a product meant to be used by children. Also, they were not properly aligned with the screws on...
